Target Sum
Given an integer array and a target, assign '+' or '-' to each number. Return the number of ways to assign signs such that the resulting expression evaluates to the target.

Problem
You are given an integer array nums and an integer target. You want to build an expression by adding '+' or '-' before each integer in nums. Return the number of different expressions that evaluate to target.
Input
An integer array `nums` and an integer `target`.
Output
The number of sign assignments that produce the target sum.
Examples
Input: nums = [1,1,1,1,1], target = 3
Output: 5
5 different ways to assign + and - to get a sum of 3.
Input: nums = [1], target = 1
Output: 1
The brute-force approach
Try all 2^n combinations of + and - assignments. Count those that sum to target.
